Anastacias restaurant/bar last week in the 1500 block of north sixth street in harrisburg.The place is shaping up to become a great neighborhood spot for authentic puerto rican food.It opened friday august 01,2008 and serves breakfast,lunch and dinner.Owner Ricardo suarez who is from new jersey,named the restaurant in memory of his mother anastacia,who had lived in harrisburg.During his many visits here,he noticed the area lacked a true puerto rican-style restaurant.He and his dauther Johann suarez,purchased the building and completed a major overhaul.Outside,you can't miss the orange facade.Inside,they created a comfortable,contemporary atmosphere where dinner can sit around the bar or take a seat in the back dinner room.The menu rolls out dishes like oxtail stew,fried pork skin,cod fish,pork chop stew and barbecued ribs and chicken.Daily specials boost the offerings.
